This document summarizes the the SPECvirt_sc2013 benchmark result for the ThinkSystem SR950 that was published on April 2, 2019. Lenovo delivers leadership server consolidation performance on the SPECvirt_sc2013 virtualization benchmark with the publication of the leadership 4-socket scores for all three SPECvirt_sc2013 result categories.
The Lenovo ThinkSystem SR950 server delivered the following world record SPECvirt_sc2013 performance and performance/watt results for 4-socket server platforms:
- SPECvirt_sc2013 7410 @ 420 VMs
- SPECvirt_sc2013_ServerPPW 4.812 @ 420 VMs
- SPECvirt_sc2013_PPW 4.812 @ 420 VMs
The SR950 was configured as follows:
- 4x Intel Xeon Platinum 8280L (2.7 GHz with 38.5 MB L3 cache per processor: 4 chips/112 cores/28 cores per chip)
- 3TB (48x 64GB DDR4 DIMMs) of memory
- 2x ThinkSystem RAID 930-16i Adapters with 4GB flash
- 4x Intel X710-DA2 10Gb 2 Port SFP+ Ethernet Adapters
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP4
